Percent Growth Calculator

Calculate the percentage change between two values

Simple, Fast, and Straight to the Point

Use this percent growth calculator to measure change between two numbers. It shows increase or decline as a percentage. It now displays the formula used for the math. The result label shows Growth or Decline or No change. Use it for reports and forecasts and quick checks.

How It Works

Enter a starting value and an ending value. The calculator computes percentage change with this rule. Percentage change equals the difference divided by the size of the starting value times 100. The size means the absolute value of the starting value. That means we ignore the minus sign.

Starting Value: Enter the first number you compare. Use decimals if needed. Use a value other than zero. Negative values work for loss or debt cases.

Ending Value: Enter the second number. This is your final reading. Decimals and negative values work here too.

The output shows the percentage change with two decimals. Positive values show Growth with a plus sign. Negative values show Decline with a minus sign. No change shows 0 percent. The tool prints the formula used and the full calculation. It then shows the change in value in plain numbers.

Example. From 100 to 150 gives 50 percent growth.
